A MOTHER'S INSTINCT

Never underestimate a mother's instinct
Regarding her child.  Other's may call it
 Gut feeling, whatever--when something
Isn't right, the mother's instinct kicks in.

A child says they don't feel well.
At first they think it's a way to
Get out of school but makes a mental note
Of how they looked and act when they go.

If the child makes it through the
School day, but still feels bad--
She checks their symptoms and if
They have a fever, and sends them to bed.

If the child is sent home sick from
School, Mom makes an appointment
At the Dr.  If  what the Dr. says and
Prescribes doesn't work, she doesn't quit.

She keeps taking the child to Dr's or
 To ER's to find out what's wrong.
 She would go to the ends of the earth
To care for her child, her love is strong.

When she finally finds a Dr who
Knows what's wrong with her
Child--she's relieved that they
Can help her child to feel better.

Never underestimate a mother's love
Or maternal instinct when it comes to
Her child.  She'll keep searching and
Searching until she's done all she can do.
