I know there are a lot of people
Who dislike Social Media.
They feel it's an invasion of privacy
And gives some people the wrong idea.
Others like it to keep in touch
With far off family and friends.
Some of the games may be silly--but
Some keep you alert and use your head.
Some have posts that make you laugh,
Some may make you cry.
Some make you stop and think,
And ask the question "why"?
One such post was on Facebook the
Other day. It said: "if methadone is
Free to drug addicts, why can't chemo
Be free to cancer patients?"
Someone else remarked that then
Insulin should be free for all
Diabetics. Drug companies would be
Upset, but their pricing needs an overhaul.
Yes, Social Media has it's flaws--
So does most everything in this
World today. But it also has things
That make you stop and think.
If people wouldn't post pictures and
Comments that are degrading and cruel--
That might be a start to ending suicides
And mass shootings--at least in schools.
No one needs to be mean to another.
And no one needs to have to choose
Between food and medicine to stay
Alive. When that happens, we all lose.
