There once was a small, adorable kitten
And her name was Sweet Pea.
One day she met a cute little pup called
Rascal, and they became best buddies.
These two would run and play everywhere.
They would even wrap their legs around
Each other and wrestle playfully, or just roll
Down hills. Where one was, the other was found.
They were always there for each other--
They had each other's backs.
Sounds a little strange, I know--for there
To be such a friendship with a dog and cat.
They love to play hide and seek,
With each other and their humans.
Getting their ears scratched and their
Bellies rubbed is their own heaven.
After a busy day of adventures
And playing. They eat a good
Supper--curled up together to go
To sleep, feeling safe in their neighborhood.
