REGRETS

Everyone in the whole world has
Regrets.  Most won't admit it.
There are some, if the topic is
Mentioned, throw an absolute fit.

Things you could've, should've
Said or done.  Help someone in
Need, or let someone know
That you care about them.

Some think if you have regrets,
It makes you seem weak.  While
Others think it shows you're human
And wish you'd gone that extra mile.

People always seem to wait until
It's too late to make amends.
Someone's gone and you never said anything.
Now they're gone and your chance ends.

Some regrets are due to letting
Someone you love down.  You
Don't have the power or authority
To help them--it hurts your heart too.

God gave us free will, to choose to
Make amends and live without regret.
The sad thing is that most of us humans
Haven't figured that out yet.
