MEMORIAL DAY 2018

As we honor the memories of our
Loved ones who have passed on
This Memorial Day--we also honor our
Military who paid the ultimate price and are gone.

We should also remember to honor
Those listed as MIA or POW--not
Just in Vietnam, but in every war
That has ever been fought.

Centuries have passed, yet the
Prospect of war is still
With us and the threat of
Deadly harm always will.

It is up to us--the people left
Behind to try to find some way
To co-exist peacefully--so that no
More soldiers or innocents have to die.

I and many Americans disagree with
Our President when he says that
POW's are losers because they
Were caught.  They are some of our bravest.

This Memorial Day we all should
Come together to honor those no
Longer here, but that they were here--
And they made a difference.

Please also say prayers for
John McCain--not because he
Is a politician, but because he
Survived torture in war and is now
Fighting another war for his life.
