It's windy here and dusty,
But it's sunrises and sunsets
Are some of the most beautiful
You'll ever see, I bet.
We have rolling hills and flat
Prairies as far as the eye can see.
We grow crops that feed the country,
From sea to shining sea.
Our crops help feed the world--
Our farmers work long and hard.
We work with and against the
Weather--we must stand guard.
We're called Tornado Alley--
They show up every year.
Storm chasers keep tabs on them
And let us know when it's clear.
There is all kinds of history in
Kansas--true stories of the Old West.
There's also modern cities and
Technology here, our training is the best.
It get's hot in the summer, that's true.
And winters can be cold and long--
Be we have friendly people here,
Our ethics are pure and strong.
Our sports teams are known
Across the country as winners.
Strong fan support follows them
Everywhere, they're definitely not quitters.
You may think Kansas sounds boring,
But there's lots of things to do.
Big city, or small town rural--
We'll entertain and welcome you.
