Spring is coming soon
So the calendars say.
But if you go by the weather,
It's not headed that way.
Some days are beautiful--
Others the very opposite.
The East Coast is bracing
For their 3rd Nor'easter to hit.
We're never sure what to wear--
Sweaters, coats with hoods or ear muffs,
Sleeveless shirts, sunscreen, go barefoot
Or wear the ever present flip flops.
Will we have a picnic this day?
And play at the park?
Or an ice storm or blizzard and sit
Around the fireplace in the dark?
Sooner or later, the flowers
Will bloom. Birds will be
Singing, and the trees and
Grass once again will be green.
