Alzheimer's took another victim
The other day. It took her mind
Slowly, and when it had done it's
Damage--it was her time.
A sweet lady who had a
Smile for everyone, she
Loved Christmas and had a
Christmas Village for everyone to see.
She let people from church
Come by to look at her
Village, she even had a Santa
In the bathtub on the bathroom counter.
She started getting more quiet--
Though the smile was still there.
When she couldn't live alone--her
Children found a home for Alzheimer's care.
It wasn't a nursing home or assisted
Living, it was a regular home
With caregivers and 5 or 6
Patients there. She wasn't alone.
There is no cure for Alzheimer's,
No one beats the odds--
The only one who can cure
Alzheimer's is God.
