Lately, in different cities around
The country--there have been acts
Of vandalism to graves, and
Destruction of tombstones, just for laughs.
The cold, unfeeling ego-maniacs that are
Doing this, have no valid reason for what
They do. They just want to be tough and
Damage something to prove they have guts.
What they don't realize, is that not
Only are they destroying history in
Old cemeteries, but they reopen wounds
By breaking tombstones families got for their kin.
There is no sufficient reason
For these actions that any
Human being would accept.
And none acceptable to the Almighty.
This kind of vandalism must stop.
If only there was a way these creeps
Could feel the pain of families, both
Civilian and military as they weep.
Not only do they dishonor people's
Family members, old and young--
They dishonor deceased military
Who fought for their freedom.
They are a disgrace--not just
To their families, but to
This country they call home.
Punishment by criminal justice is due.
