I wish our nation could
One day see--
Each one of us as humans,
Not the enemy.
With all the fighting going
On, we'll destroy ourselves--
We won't be worried about foreign
Countries and ballistic missiles.
Government against what the
Country needs to heal the scars
Both of history and current problems
Here--not go to Mars.
Everyone needs to trust that
When they call for help, they
Get it. No matter race, religion,
Or politics. No brutality.
If people need to protest--
They have that right.
But not to damage property,
Loot businesses, and start fights.
I wish pharmaceutical companies
Would realize--they're supposed to
Help sick people--not be greedy
And over price meds as they do.
Democrat, Republican, or
Independent--I don't care.
Just agree and pass good policies--
Quit arguing and having affairs.
No one knows what's coming,
Good or bad. People that need
Healthcare shouldn't have to pay
Exorbitant premiums due to others greed.
I only hope that future
Generations won't see
Our nation repeat
Our flawed history.
