Don't underestimate your children--
They observe and absorb more than
You realize. Don't tell them their dreams,
They may be different from yours for them.
Don't be upset with them if
Their aspiration isn't the same
As yours. Just because you had
Plans for them, doesn't mean a thing.
Some parents try to live
Vicariously through their kids.
They push them to do things
That they never ever did.
If your child doesn't do well
In school--it doesn't mean they're dumb.
They may have a learning disability--
And bullies will make fun.
Your children have minds
And ideals for their life--
Stay calm and discuss it,
Save everyone some strife.
