HALLOWEEN

It was the night some
Call All Hallows Eve.
The gremlins and goblins
Had lots of tricks up their sleeves.

The nasty old witch had
Been concocting her brew--
She'd added some new things to
The usual bat wings and eye of newt.

The spiders had spun very
Intricate webs, the black cats
Were ready to hiss and yowl.
The belfry was full of bats.

The ghosts were ready
To jump out and scare-
Banshees wailing, jack-o-lanterns
With their evil grins and empty stares.

Make sure your parents
Check the candy you collect.
Don't eat too much--
Or you'll get sick.
