Don't tell your kids they're stupid and
Worth nothing--they'll have no sense of self.
Encourage them, be proud of them--they'll
Work hard, achieve things, and learn to help.
Believing in yourself and your abilities
Is the main thing everyone needs.
Parents need to start this when they're
Kids--plant the small seed.
Some kids who are belittled and told
How dumb they are will work and study
To prove people wrong. Anyone who
Does that is nobody's dummy.
There are some who have all
The advantages and manage to
Waste them all. They think everything
Is handed to them, bad, bad, call.
They end up being shallow,
And can't understand why,
Other people make it in life--
That's because they tried.
