THERE IS MUCH TO BE DONE

There is much to be done to make
This world a better place--
Technology and college degrees are fine,
But common sense and compassion can't be replaced.

All the scientific knowledge in the world
Doesn't mean a thing if it's used for personal
Gain,  and not to help the human race.  Many
Years ago, people did things just to be helpful.

It used to be a person's word was their
Bond, and deals sealed with handshakes.
Now you have lawyers make contracts of many
Pages because there is no trust, and things are at stake.

There needs to be clean water for everyone.
Healthcare and proper nutrition to end
Both starvation and death from disease
That can be cured.  Care packages to send.

And when helping people to rebuild--
Build some shelters too, for the many
Homeless and refugees.  Treat them
With their due respect and dignity.

Make sure there are places that
The disabled and mentally ill can
Get care AND treatment--so they
Know they're not alone or abandoned.

There is much to be done to
Make this world a better place.
We need to come together and
Try, for the whole human race.
