PROTECT OUR ELDERLY

We've known it forever,
We should never forget--
Have quality care for the elderly,
They deserve nothing less.

They need a clean place to live,
To be shown love and care.
Have responsible caregivers, and
Family that remembers they're there.

Any signs of elder abuse should
Result in criminal investigation.

Sadness and anger all over our  nation.

Don't just assume everything is
Fine, check on things daily.
Do surprise visits at different times
To see if the care is passing or failing.

If your elderly loved one complains
Of mistreatment or is anxious, don't
Dismiss it as their imagination.  You
Need to speak for them when others won't.

Be very thorough when checking
Out places for your loved one to live.
Making sure they're decently cared
For isn't too much for you to give.
