Grammie made some hot tea--
She couldn't get to sleep.
The kids came and sat by her,
Hoping for something to eat.
They're very attached to Grammie--
They follow her everywhere.
She's accidently shut them in a room
Because they followed her in there.
When she's been gone and gets back
Home--what a welcome she receives!
She barely gets in the door--they're
So excited, they're stepping on her feet.
Beege sleeps with her, and
Pixie sleeps close by.
Between the kids and I, we
Keep a watchful eye.
Beege brings her gifts when he comes
In: bugs, grass, sticks and leaves.
We all get grossed out--
But at least he tries to please.
They know my car engine, when I
Come home from doing errands--
They both greet me at the door, howl
Hello and check me for doggie contraband.
We love them as much as they love
Us, they're our family.
Don't mess with them, or you'll
Have to deal with Grammie and me.
