Please don't call me strange or weird,
Because I look or talk differently
Than you. I may need special
Assistance on things--but don't bully me.
We are all made by the same
God. He loves all of us equally.
If humiliated, we feel the same
Pain you do. If left out we are lonely.
If either of us is injured--we bleed
The same color blood: red.
The same doctors help us, same hospitals
Too. We also don't like to be sick in bed.
If we could all get rid of our
Preconceived behavior and hatred,
Or fear of different things--
We'd find we have a common thread.
We are ALL HUMANS--
No matter our language or dress,
Or physical abilities--
AND WE DESERVE RESPECT.
