Go up high in the mountains,
Where the air is fresh and pure.
Nature's music surrounds you--
You're privacy is assured.
Brooks run through the forest,
Trees give a wonderful scent--
Absorb the quiet serenity,
When you feel tired and spent.
The mountains know stories
From millions of years ago.
The things we could learn
From them--not even geniuses know.
They are majestic and beautiful and
Up there you may feel closer to God.
But He is close to us everywhere--
Even on prairie sod.
Every tree and every animal
Blend together with this place.
I'd rather go to the mountains--
Than fly into outer space.
