Why don't people listen to each other?
Some listen to hate speech and
Celebrity news, but they don't REALLY
Hear when someone needs a hand.
It usually takes a tragedy--
Terrorist attack, or natural
Disaster to bring people together
To help someone when they fall.
When a country has a terrorist
Attack--don't dissect what they
Should have done to prevent it,
Show respect for those lost and pray.
Comfort the survivors and
Those in mourning, no one
Needs recriminations now--
They need to know they're not alone.
There are some folks who have
Made it their life mission to
Help others whenever or wherever
Needed--they are the ones that listen and do.
Helping a grieving mother keep it together
After losing a child in Manchester is far
More important than looking at the latest
Nude selfie some celebrity wants to share.
Benefit concerts or telethons to
Raise money to pay medical or funeral
Expenses for those in need does more toward
Healing and showing we stand together and tall.
