As we gather with our families,
Let's remember those that are apart.
Due to estrangement, deployment--
Or someone passing--leaving broken hearts.
It's not always people that we know--
But they're part of the family of mankind.
They may not be all together,
But they're in each heart and mind.
Remember those sick in hospitals,
Young and old alike--
And those who live in nursing homes,
Visiting them can make their Christmas bright.
Everyone loves care packages--
Especially our troops. They
Love cards, letter and homemade goodies,
Reminding them of home far away.
So as we gather--let's pray
For peace the whole worldwide--
And that soon those far away
Will be back at our sides.
