Most people think of family
As blood relatives. It can
Also consist of friends not
Related but are close at hand.
In a family, you can agree to
Disagree without fear
Of losing their affection or
Friendship, or causing tears.
Family has your back when
Something goes wrong--they
Listen and give comfort and
Show that they care in many ways.
You can talk things through
With family--They'll let you
Know if you're right or wrong,
And encourage you in what you do.
There is the family you're
Born to--and then there
Are your friends, the family you
Choose. Both come with love and care.
You're all part of a bigger family--
The family of God. He is
Always with us, and loves
All of us unconditionally.
