What thought process goes
Through a person's brain--
If their is one at all, to treat
National Treasures with disdain?
Sometimes it's young people who
Think what they're doing is "cool".
Sometimes it's middle aged men
Who know better, but act like fools.
Sometimes it's graffiti
Painted on canyon walls.
People think they're artists--
They're just vandals, that's all.
The same goes for people
Who vandalize and desecrate
Memorials and tombstones in
Old cemeteries--what a disgrace.
They show no common sense,
Respect or appreciation for
History, or God's creations,
They show their judgement is poor.
How they can face their families
And friends afterwards,
And not feel ashamed of what
They did--is totally absurd.
