THANK YOU

Tomorrow, Sept. 11, 2016--
We honor the memory of
The souls lost 15 years ago.
They are now in Heaven above.

As we honor their memories,
We should remember also to
Thank our Military and First Responders--
Not just tomorrow, but all year through.

Our Military is deployed to distant lands
To keep our country safe and free.
They put their lives on the line to
Be sure Americans and others live safely.

Our Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters,
And EMT's put their lives on the line
To rescue the trapped, sick, and
Missing, plus criminals of every kind.

No one is perfect, we find
Bad people in all walks of life.
They need to be brought to justice--
All have families: parents, kids, a wife.

We have to remember that for
Every bad person in uniform--
There are hundreds and thousands of others
That consider their jobs an honor to perform.

So as we remember what happened
On Sept. 11, 2001--and honor the lost,
Remember to say "Thank You" to all
Who protect us despite the cost.
