There are times in this life
When words fail us--
No matter how eloquent we are,
They don't do a situation justice.
Senseless tragedies--both here,
And around the world--be
They mass murders or weather
Related, leave us speechless with grief.
Sometimes all you can do
Is give hugs, hold hands,
Or maybe read scriptures and pray.
Or hear music from a piano played by a man.
It doesn't matter who you are,
Or where you live-grief hits
Us all as one people. We are
Resilient, but emotionally torn to bits.
Even though it's a Disney fantasy
World's song--It is a small
And grieving world we live
In after all.
