Have you ever told your kids
To behave a certain way,
But when it comes to you--
You do the opposite of what you say?
They say a picture is worth
A thousand words--well
How you act is your child's picture,
What do your actions tell?
Tell kids to say please
And thank you, but
You don't do it yourself--
Kids hear and observe a lot.
Tell someone you care
For them, and then
Treat them badly--
Your relationship ends.
Never tell someone
You have their back--
And then bail on them
When they're under attack.
Remember to say what you
Mean and to do it too.
Things work better
When you follow through.
