Never make fun of or belittle
Those older than you.
Most know and have done
More than you'll ever do.
While you may be more
Technically advanced than they--
When your technology breaks down,
Their old tried and true ways save the day.
While you may have had all
Of today's advantages in life,
They helped make our nation great--enduring
Disease and conditions, causing great strife.
You can learn a lot from previous
Generations. Both their failures
And successes. So don't think they're
Useless, their old ideas led to yours.
