MOM

My mother is still not well,
She's in quite a bit of pain.
She's going to see more doctors--
And have tests done again.

I would call her brave,
After all that she's been through.
Cancer, heart surgery, pneumonia,
And 48 years of verbal and emotional abuse.

She says the Lord gave me to her
For her to love and later
Care for her.  All we've gone through
Together only makes my love for her greater.

I know she's concerned what might be
Wrong.  We all are.  But the main
Thought concerning her is that the cancer
Is back in different form.  That shadow remains.

Her faith in God is strong, when problems
Come along--she prays for His love
And guidance, especially when she feels her
Faith is weak.  She wants to be brave and tough.

She doesn't feel she's special, but she
Is very wrong.  She's special to everyone
Who loves her, especially God above.
Please send prayers for her to the Father and the Son.
