Some people have funny dreams
That make no sense at all.
Some watch scary movies, and
Then dream the monster has come to call.
Some people have dreams
Of how they wish their lives could be.
Veterans of wars have nightmares--
And suffer from PTSD.
Some people say they never dream,
Or if they do, they don't remember them.
They come about because of your environment--
And how strong is your imagination.
Never make fun of those who have nightmares.
Especially in our military.
The things they've seen and lived through--
No one should ever have to see.
Don't buy books or go to people
To find out what your dreams mean.
When all is said and done--it's either
A veteran's flashback, or just someone's dream.
