I always loved singing the hymn
"He Arose" on Easter Sunday.
The deep tone of the men's voice almost made
You feel the rumble of the stone rolling away.
Christ said that he would rise
Again on the third day--
The tomb was empty, only
Folded burial cloths where he lay.
Each Easter we celebrate
Christ's victory over death--
Proving once and for all,
He paid our debt.
God's word is as relevant
Now as it was back then--
He is alive and His love is real. Just
Believe and repent, and He'll wash away your sins.
