There's a saying: "Anyone can be a father,
It takes someone special to be a Dad."
The truth of that statement--
Has left many children sad.
You can be a sperm donor
And work to pay the bills,
But if you don't connect with your
Children--you miss one of life's thrills.
All children want love, just to know
That someone cares. If you
Barely acknowledge them--they feel
Abandoned, and don't know what to do.
They think it's their fault
That you want little to do with them.
As they grow older, resentment
Towards you sets in.
Some kids look to someone else
To be the Dad they never had.
Others may rebel and live an unhappy
Life--Always looking for a Dad.
