A sad and unfortunate fact of life.
A tragedy so bad it touched an entire
Community, like the stab of a knife.
How each person, as well as the entire
Community reacts--tells of their
Faith in God and their strength of
Character with the sorrow they share.
Candle light vigils and prayer services
Where they find comfort together--
Just crying, hugging one another and
Hearing God's words of scripture.
It may take a while, but working
Together to heal the pain--
They will come back stronger,
Only sad, tragic memories will remain.
Law Enforcement and First Responders
Did what they were trained and
Needed to do. Even co-workers helped
The injured escape and lent a hand.
They came back after a devastating
Tornado 26 years ago. They will
Come back after this tragedy--
The community closer still.
