So many things can be
Conveyed by a simple touch.
Love, sympathy, understanding--
One little gesture can mean so much.
Letting someone know you care,
That they're not alone--
Or stopping someone from
Heading into a danger zone.
Slapping or beating someone
Conveys hatred, anger, and fury.
And may end up sending you to prison--
Judged by a jury.
One simple touch
Can make a child feel safe,
Change them into a kid again--
And not a sad, terrified waif.
God shows us the
Many things a touch can do--
Open your heart and soul
And His message will touch you.
