Rackety Noise

Planes flying overhead,
Music loud enough to wake the dead.
Cars revving their engines,
Drivers daring to ruin their suspension.

Ice cream truck driving by,
Cold sweet treats to tempt your eye.
Children playing, shouting merrily--
Adults yell loudly and angrily.

Dogs barking as strangers go past,
Motorcycles zooming by fast.
TV's blaring, making windows rattle--
Gunshots fired, crime an ongoing battle.

Car alarms keep going off,
Honking horns, hacking coughs.
Trash trucks dumping trash--
The sounds of people mowing grass.

The world is full of noises,
People making good and bad choices.
Remember those sensitive to loud sounds,
And try and keep the decibels down.
