Since that awful day,
When terrorists crashed planes
Into the Twin Towers and blew them away.
It's been 14 years
Since terrorists crashed
Into the Pentagon.
Hopes it was accidental soon dashed.
It's been 14 years since the
Heroic passengers of Flight 93
Foiled a fourth attack by giving
Their lives for our country.
Everything was turned into ruins,
Debrîs and ash.
Why would anyone do this?
We somberly ask.
People looking for loved ones--
Were they dead or alive?
Was it possible, please God--
That someone survived?
Loved ones got phone calls from those
Who knew they wouldn't live.
Whether in buildings or on planes,
Telling them of the love they had to give.
Several First Responders died,
Including a priest who was there
To console and help. Some are still dyeing
Today due to the ash that contaminated the air.
It's been 14 years since this
Vicious attack took place--
You can still see, feel, and hear the horror
And sadness in people's voices and face.
No one will forget that day
And the evil acts of those that took
Innocent lives and left families broken.
And is forever in our history books.
