In This Life

In this life, have I touched
Someone's heart with kindness?
Have I helped ease someone's heavy load?
Have I brought some light into their darkness?

In this life, have I done what God wanted?
Have I shown His love and giving--
Or been judgmental and held a grudge?
Is this life the one God wants me living?

In this life I am self-conscious--
But endeavor to be strong in my beliefs.
In this life I invite no trouble--
In this life I pray for peace.

In this life I try to protect my family
From things that could hurt them to the core.
In this life I try to show them
That I love them so much more.

In this life, I deal with pain and depression,
So I try to help others deal with theirs.
It's a feeling wished on no one--
In this life they need to know someone cares.

In this life no one is perfect,
No matter if they're rich or they're poor.
In this life filled with struggle,
That's what God, Christ, and Faith are for.

In this life, one thing is certain--
You can go to God in prayer.
His love is unconditional,
And He is always there.

In this life we are tested by the devil,
Whatever way we go--he wants to undermine us
And lead us to temptations that are wrong.
Tell him NO--I belong to Jesus!
