But in some cases it's hard not to.
When they abuse someone, be it adult, child, or animal--
You want them to feel the same pain too.
Only cowards abuse someone
And blame it on them--
"They know what makes me crazy",
Or "it crapped on the floor again".
Whenever we see someone being abused--
Try to help however you can to get them safe.
Some women are doing better about taking a stand.
Small children and animals must be shown love, hope, and faith.
I know it can be difficult to
Take that first step--
You don't know what's ahead, but it has to be better
Than the secrets you've kept.
Abusers need to know we won't
Take it anymore, and that abusing
Anyone or anything will have serious consequences--
Not just a wrist slap, or "it's a domestic thing".
No person or animal deserves to
Be abused. We are all God's great
Creations--to be cared for and kept safe,
Not to be beaten or locked in a crate.
