If You Care For Someone

When someone says they care for you--
Their actions speak louder than words.
If they ignore you and take you for granted,
THEY have the problem, you're not a nerd.

If they can't just talk to you
About problems that you have--
And show a little tenderness, tell them
To get lost and go home in a cab.

If you care for someone--
REALLY care, not just lust,
You need to respect them as a person
And work to earn and keep their trust.

Never lie or cheat on them,
They deserve better than that.
Don't use them for your own needs--
Or a place to hang your hat.

If someone rejects you,
You're not ugly or stupid.
They'll realize your worth when you're
Gone and they see what they did.

It's better to be by yourself
And lonely than to be lonely
With the one who says they care--in time
God will help you find your one and only.
