The latest techno gadget, concert tickets
To hear their favorite group sing.
No matter what the weather,
They want to be early.
Shopping for Christmas gifts while
Others are sleeping off turkey.
Movie premieres, new
Restaurants opening--
I wonder if they'd wait in line
To hear Christ teaching?
Would you wait in line for Christ?
Camp out in tents and sleeping bags,
To get a ticket to see Him
And hear Him--or would your attention lag?
He died on the cross in a most
Cruel and painful way,
To save your soul from sin--would
You wait to see what He had to say?
God hears all our prayers--and
Gives us strength to weather life's storms.
Waiting in line to hear Christ speak
Won't do you any harm.
