Some people can write
Lyrics or music for a song,
That touches someone who hears it
As their life goes along.
Some people write novels,
Short stories or poems so
Compelling, that you
Can't wait for the next dose.
Their objective is to draw
Each person in. Make them
Feel part of the process,
To motivate their brains' momentum.
It takes a very special talent
To inspire a mind, a heart, a soul--
With words or music that
Makes them reach their goals.
Makes them take action
To better someone's life,
To show by their actions
You don't always need a gun or a knife.
To evoke feelings in them
Of love, warmth, happiness
Or safety. People who
Can do that are truly blessed.
To be thought of someone
Who can deeply inspire,
By doing what they love--
Is to be truly admired.
Others can inspire in different
Ways--not fanatics who kill,
But those who stir a desire for peace--
That's what we want and always will.
