Seeing people helping people,
Moves me to tears.
It's re-emerging in this economy
After several years.
It used to be people had to ask,
But now people just pitch in.
They see a need and try to help,
Even if the people are strangers to them.
They won't accept payment--
They're just glad they could help.
Knowing they'll be repaid when
They need help themselves.
That's the main mantra--
To pay it forward.
The feeling of helping someone
Is it's own reward.
If we all band together,
And stand strong against the foe--
Keep our trust in God,
We'll reap what we sow.
