When you look back
Over your life,
Are you proud of your achievements?
Gained through struggle and strife?
I don't mean the conceited
I'm better than you pride,
I mean the I overcame obstacles type and
It's been a roller coaster ride.
To most people, it means more
To get something after working
Long and hard for it. You learn and grow,
Expanding your mind while searching.
You can share your experiences
With others if they ask--
Don't boast and brag and browbeat them,
They have to achieve through their own tasks.
The goal of hard work and
Achieving is to strengthen your self-esteem.
Others see your accomplishments--
And start to believe in their dreams.
