Most Precious Gift

Some people feel that
Christmas means spending lots
Of money, so they can give
Many gifts--especially for the tots.

Some people only give
To others things they need,
Clothes, coats, gloves, even shoes
Some out of kindness--others pride and greed.

Everyone want to seem
Magnanimous at this time of year.
If not, their image may
Suffer they fear.

But children know the best gifts
They can give come from the heart.
If you just think about it,
That's what happened at the start.

God gave us His most precious
Gift from His heart out of love,
He sent His only beloved son
Down from Heaven above.
