With crayons or pencils,
And in their neatest print--
Kids write letters to Santa,
And make sure they got sent.
In the old days, we
Wanted baby dolls and Easy Bake Ovens.
A bike with a banana seat--
Or little red wagons.
These days, get ready
For culture shock--
Robots, video games, computers.
Even cell phones that talk.
Everything is more expensive,
Due to advertising blitzes--
You're still paying the bills
From LAST Christmas.
