How Do You See Beauty?

How do you see beauty?
Do you see it with your eyes
As a physical display that some
People wear as a disguise?

Or do you see it with your heart?
The beauty on the inside that comes
From the heart and soul, and is real
And so energizing, the air around them hums?

Beauty seen with your eyes
Can be God's beautiful landscapes.
Inner beauty can be seen in people's
Actions, words, and the smiles on their face.

Not every person with outer beauty
Is shallow and vain.
If they have inner and outer beauty,
They've probably known their share of pain.

God not only gives us eyes
That see, but hearts and souls
That feel, hear, and rejoice--
The beauty is real and not a role.
