Lifes Everyday Blessings

You wake up every morning,
You may not feel great.
But you're alive--
That's because of God, not fate.

You have friends and family
Who love you--if you've quarreled,
Fix it now before it's too late.
Extra time cannot be borrowed.

If you have an illness,
There are medicines you can take.
Though they may be costly,
Talk to God and a pathway he will make.

If you have financial problems,
Resist the pull to splurge.
Don't compare yourself to others,
God made you unique--resist the urge.

Don't complain all the time
About superficial things,
God knows what you need,
And He will help in His timing.

If you're broke and homeless,
There are shelters to be found.
More are definitely needed--
But they're better than the cold hard ground.

There are soup kitchens and
Food pantries to help you feed your family.
They are a blessing
In this economy.

Dwelling on your problems
Doesn't really help--dwell
On solving them, don't
Retreat into your shell.

With each problem you learn something,
And your strength will grow.
God gives His toughest battles
To His strongest warriors, you know.

When you think back on all you've been through,
The good and the bad--
God turned them into blessings
You didn't know you had.
