Culture Clash

Just because someone's parents
Raised them differently than yours,
Doesn't give you the right to
Ridicule them and call them dorks.

Just because someone's heritage
And culture you may not understand--
Should not keep you from lending
Them a helping hand.

Not everyone will always believe
The way you do.
Don't disrespect their beliefs, they have rights
Unless they plan to attack the red, white, and blue.

When you make fun of someone's
Way of life--be it faith, culture,
Or family values, you disrespect them
And their holy scriptures.

Every religion has people who
Do bad things supposedly "in the name of God".
Westboro Baptist pickets funerals,
And some Muslims only want religious war--a jihad.
