What Are You Looking For?

What are you looking for
As you go through this life?
To be the center of attention,
Or ease someone's strife?

Would you help someone in need,
Or hang back in the shadows?
Would you be kind,
Or would you be callous?

You plan your education--
The best you can afford.
Get a job, raise a family--
Go to church and praise the Lord.

Will you make a contribution
To your community, or donate
 To a cause to help others everywhere--
To make a difference in their fate?

While you plan for yourself,
Think of others too--
A simple act of kindness or kind words
Can make a difference for both of you.
