Life is made up of decisions,
Some are simple, some are hard.
Some only want the very best--
And put it on their card.
Others want the best too,
But can't afford the cost.
Do they feed their family--
Or take a chance their house will be lost?
While one looks at designer clothes
On the fashion runways--
Others wear hand me downs,
And save their good clothes for Sundays.
Some people make major headlines
Acting vain and looking like fools.
While others believe in God---
And want prayer back in schools.
We elect people to government
To make good choices for us.
All they do is bicker, if they ever pass a bill,
Citizens will sing the Hallelujah chorus.
The elderly have it the worst,
Decisions they must make--
Medicine or eat cat food,
Filling out all the forms makes them quake.
The poor are like the elderly,
Except not all are on Medicare.
They've made hard decisions all their lives--
But government doesn't seem to care.
And don't forget our troops and veterans too,
Need decisions for help they need.
Some physical, some emotional--
Because of the horrors they've seen.
One decision we all must make:
Is to get our priorities straight.
Get our country back on track
Before it's way too late.
