Consequences

If people only realized things they do
Can have consequences for themselves and others,
They might re-think their actions--
And not ruffle any feathers.

If our government leaders
Were affected by the laws they pass--
They'd understand our point of  view
And not say things so they sound like an a--.

Every action causes a reaction,
Like skipping stones on a pond.
No one is entitled or above the law,
Try to make amends later, the moment is gone.

Just stop and think hard
Before you take further action.
Come together for good
And not divide into different factions.
