Aging

It comes to all of us,
Some can't handle it--
And some are just thankful
To be around for a longer bit.

Some people, it's sad to say--
Aren't here long,
Due to health problems, accidents
Or choices made that were wrong.

Celebrities all look
For the "Fountain Of Youth"--
Lipo, Botox, face lifts,
Hoping to stay young and cute.

For some with age comes wisdom
And strength of character.
Others, no matter what age
Never seem to learn.

Some stay busy and
Their minds intact,
Others wither slowly or quickly--
And only a miracle can bring them back.

Children should all be raised
To be kind and respect their elders.
Not to make fun of people who are old and sick--
The same could happen to their Grandmas and Grandfathers.

You can't stop the age process,
Don't do things you shouldn't--
Just deal with it properly,
You've done what most couldn't.
